More planning for the big project
This CAD drawing shows some of the important considerations about the design for the box beam ceilings in the living room and dining room. The design allows work to be done from the inner portions which must be square to the outer portions which do not need to be square.
Everything is eventually measured and installed from the exact center of the rooms outward. This simplifies the work and it also ensures the central squares are correct because they are really important to making the design work by echoing the overall squareness of the house and framing the light fixtures.
This drawing was made after the much of the work was done and is only here for illustration purposes and hopefully to help and inspire my readers. You do not need to do a CAD drawing for a project like this! Quarter inch grid paper works great!
